SUMMARY:MasterMind- Implant Care Practitioner Training Program: Level 1
DESCRIPTION:The dental implant surgical and restorative markets are forecasted to reach 12.32 billion by 2021. Such substantial industry growth indicates that many dental hygienists will encounter patients with implant dentistry within their clinical practice. With the increased incidence of peri-implant diseases\, studies have indicated the maintenance phase to be the most important aspect for long term success. While protocols for implant maintenance remain unclear\, the role of the dental hygienist in the preservation of peri-implant tissues has been recognized internationally. A 2015 consensus report published by the 10th European Consensus Conference (EuCC) addressing peri-implant inflammation acknowledged that detection and prevention of peri-implant diseases is contingent upon the diagnostic and therapeutic skill of the clinician. \nThis multifaceted hands-on program will explore the fundamentals of laser science\, periodontal endoscopy\, subgingival powder streaming with glycine powder and instrumentation in the non-surgical treatment of peri-implant and periodontal diseases. Working with simulation exercises\, this workshop is designed to build confidence and gain clinical understanding for dental hygienists’ in the delivery of advanced treatment protocols. \nJoin us. Your journey to become an Implant Care Practitioner (ICP) begins here!

SUMMARY:Chrome Digital Full-Arch Treatments & Hands-On Course
DESCRIPTION:Course Description: \nThis course aims to address the most common questions and complications faced in full-arch implant reconstruction. Attendees will be introduced to a protocol called GuidedSMILE CHROME\, which improves surgical and restorative accuracy and efficiency using CBCT and 3D planning combined with CAD/CAM. This new protocol\, combined with Dr. Kazemi’s evidence-based\, surgical techniques will elevate your surgical process for full-arch treatment to a new level of accuracy and efficiency. GuidedSMILE offers 2-3 hour surgery/conversion appointments and reduces the final conversion by 2-5 appointments!

The hands-on portion includes step-by-step restorative conversion on a model using the patent-pending\, GuidedSMILE technique.  and conversion of a pre-manufactured PMMA provisional bridge. This will be completed utilizing angled implants and multi-unit abutments\, thereby preparing the clinician to incorporate these immediately into clinical practice\, without the need for chairside laboratory assistance. The converted prosthetic will then be sectioned and luted together to simulate the patent-pending iJIG – a hassle-free tool used for final conversion. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nCriteria important for patient selection for full arch immediate implant loading treatment.\nTreatment workflow for full arch immediate loading treatment.\nPatient preparation including what materials and data are necessary for full arch immediate loading using the GuidedSMILE technique.\nCommunication with the dental laboratory for preparation of surgical guides and provisional restorations.\nMaximum efficiency and predictability in full arch immediate loading using the GuidedSMILE technique.\nRestorative protocols and techniques for maximum efficiency and predictability in full arch immediate loading using the GuidedSMILE technique.\n\nSponsors: \n\nRoe Dental Laboratory\nMegagen / IDS

SUMMARY:DC Forum- The Central Lateral Dilemma
DESCRIPTION:Replacement of missing central and lateral comes with unique challenges in achieving an aesthetic outcome. Bone and soft tissue deficiency along with availability of space can impact the treatment options: Type of bone grafting and soft tissue augmentation\, space management through orthodontics\, number of implants\, type of transitional prosthesis\, and approaches in both provisional and final restoration. In this debate-style presentation\, we will discuss the restorative\, surgical\, and orthodontic principles when managing missing central and lateral incisors.

SUMMARY:Extraction Site Bone Grafting
DESCRIPTION:Adequate bone architecture is critical for correct implant positioning and longevity. Following tooth extraction\, clinicians must pay close attention to the condition of the alveolus and consider site graft to augment missing bone or preserve it for delayed implant placement. Extraction site grafting is indicated in the following clinical circumstances: \n\nTraumatic tooth extraction with loss of bone\nExisting periodontal disease or abscess\nPlan for significant delayed placement of implants\nMaxillary anterior teeth\n\nThe purpose of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge based necessary for extraction site grafting for augmentation and preservation of the alveolus. Step-by-step surgical techniques are presented along with review of all grafting materials\, instrumentation\, and approaches. Participants will learn soft tissue management in both aesthetic and non-aesthetic regions. In-additional\, participants will learn how to prevent  complications and failures associated with sinus augmentation and management principles if they occur. \nExtraction site grafting will be demonstrated during a live surgery. \nCourse Objectives: \n\nDiagnosis and treatment planning for  extraction site bone grafting\nUnderstand various grafting materials\nManage soft tissue for ideal flap design\nLearn application of growth factors to enhance bone healing\nUnderstand and manage complications associated with extraction site grafting\n\nCourse Agenda: \n\nDiagnosis and planning\nBone grafting materials\nApplication of PDGF in extraction site grafting\nSoft tissue management\nPost-op care\nManaging complications\nLive demonstration\n\n\n\nPresenter: Dr. H.
