Dr. H. Ryan Kazemi, D.M.D.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Bethesda, MD

Dr. H. Ryan Kazemi is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1990. Following a one-year internship at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, he pursued surgical training at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, where he received his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Kazemi has practiced in Bethesda, Maryland, since 1997, providing a full spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures with emphasis on extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, and corrective jaw surgery.

Dr. Kazemi is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association and Entrepreneur Organization.

He has served as the founder and president of several dental and implant study clubs in the Washington DC area. Dr. Kazemi has published and lectured extensively on dental implants, bone grafting, and practice management. His newsletter, To-The-Point, is read by more than 5,000 dentists every month. He is also the founder Facialart Dental Forum, providing both on-site and online dental education. Additionally, he is a regular contributor, author, and presenter for DentalXP and Vumedi.

Dr. Kazemi served as the team oral and maxillofacial surgeon and dentist for D.C. United, the major soccer league team in Washington, DC from 1996-2017. He provides care for the US national soccer team athletes as well as The Washington Spirit. He is a passionate triathlete having completed more than 150 races, including five Ironman competitions.

Dr. Maurice Salama, D.M.D

Dr. Maurice A. Salama completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1985 where he was a member of the University Basketball Team and nominated to the State of New York All Scholastic Team. He received his BS in Biology upon graduation.

He then went on to graduate school to receive his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Salama completed a one-year general practice and surgical residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY in 1989-90 where he was named Chief Resident.

Dr. Salama later returned to the University of Pennsylvania SDM and received his dual specialty certification in Orthodontics and Periodontics, as well as his implant training at the Branemark Center at Penn.

Dr. Salama is currently on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania and Augusta University as Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics.

He is also a legacy member of the Team Atlanta Dental Practice which is a multidisciplinary practice world renowned for their clinical research in implants, reconstructive and esthetic dentistry.

Dr. Salama and his TEAM have published numerous scientific papers, book chapters and periodicals in peer reviewed journals and is often an invited Keynote and featured speaker at Dental Conferences around the world.

Dr. Salama is also the CEO of the “Salama Training Centers” in Miami and now in Romania which offers year long Implant Mastership Residency programs in the USA and Europe.

Dr. DJ Shin

Prosthodontist in Bethesda, MD

Dr. Shin completed 3 years of full-time specialty program, following dental school, at a prestigious prosthodontics program at Columbia University (MS) in New York. He completed his dental school training and his masters in Medical Sciences at Boston University (DMD, MA). Dr. Shin graduated from Brandeis University (BA) with a major in economics.

Dr. Shin lectures locally and internationally to educate and share his work with University students and colleague dentists.

Dr. Flavio Rasetto

Prosthodontist in Chevy Chase, MD

  • Dr. Flavio Rasetto graduated from the National University of Rosario, Argentina in 1990.
  • He completed a 3-year Advanced Specialty Education Program in Prosthodontics (1996 to 1999), at University of Maryland, Dental School.
  • He was awarded a certificate in Prosthodontics (1999) and a Master of Science in Oral Biology (2000).
  • Diplomate of American Board of Prosthodontics.
  • Dr. Rasetto became a Diplomate of The American Board of Prosthodontics (2001), one of the nine specialties recognized by the Commission of Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association.
  • He was an Assistant Director of Post graduate Prosthodontics, at the University of Maryland, Dental School, from 2000 to 2006.  During that period Dr. Rasetto helped mentor many  residents as a full time Clinical Assistant Professor, while maintaining an intramural faculty practice in Prosthodontics and restorative dentistry.
  • Has published several articles in peer reviewed Prosthodontics journals, and has been invited to local, national  and international meetings to present some of his work.
  • Dr. Rasetto was honored to be elected as a member of the Phi Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (Phi Chapter, OKU), an exclusive academic society.
  • Former Clinical Assistant Professor in the Post Graduate Prosthodontics Program, at University of Maryland Dental School.
  • Former President of Maryland Section of The American College of Prosthodontist (2005-2009) and Chair of Table Clinics Committee of American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.
  • Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, active member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics,  the American Dental AssociationAcademy of OsseointegrationMaryland State Dental Association.
  • He participates in local study clubs as a speaker and is also an active member of The Chevy Chase Millennium Study Club and Alpha Omega Maryland Chapter.
  • He participates as a volunteer dental provider in the Holocaust Survivor Dental Service Program.
  • His special interest in patient care has encouraged him to select an exclusive community where he can provide personalized care.
  • When Dr. Rasetto is not in his office providing dental care to his patients, he enjoys exercise, soccer, drawing, traveling and enjoying time with his wonderful wife Flavia, and his children Gianni and Kiara.
